    Join us Tuesday mornings for storytime at Hardwood Creek Library. This inclusive, welcoming program will use stories, songs, movement and more to help toddlers and preschoolers develop early literacy skills. This storytime is for children of all ages and their caregivers. This storytime will have unique content from our Thursday storytime, and you are welcome to attend either or both. This is an in-person, indoor program. Registration is not required.

  8. Memory Café hosted by FamilyMeans

    Memory Café is a welcoming place for those with memory loss, such as Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, and their caregivers. Cafés occur on the second Tuesday of each month at R.H. Stafford Library, providing those in the community support and opportunities to connect with others facing similar challenges. To register, contact Jenny West at FamilyMeans at (651) 789-4015. Funding to support Washington County Memory Cafés is provided in part by the Washington County Local Public Health Grant. The Memory Café will meet in the glass study room at the North end of the building.

    This program has been canceled but may be rescheduled for a future date. Thank you for understanding! Join R.H. Stafford Library for a six-week speech and debate course for students in grades 5-8 with Lightwave Learning. In this engaging course, students will step into the shoes of lawmakers, politicians, and advocates as they delve into public speaking and debate. Through the program, they will be introduced to skills in critical thinking, persuasive argumentation, and effective rhetoric through hands-on activities, including speaking drills, interactive games, and mini-debates. Early engagement in this competitive activity fosters vital skills for future leaders. This event is for students in grades 5-8. Registration is required. Participants should attend all six classes (January 23, January 30, February 6, February 13, February 20, and February 27). This library event is an adult-free event, excluding library staff and partners.
