Park Grove Library featured events for September

Park Grove Library will have featured events in September, including fall prevention awareness, book clubs, and a drop-in zine workshop for teens.

The library is at 7900 Hemingway Ave. S. in Cottage Grove; telephone number is 651-459-2040.

Storytime

Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. : Join in singing, talking, reading, writing, and playing at this inclusive, welcoming storytime for families. Library storytimes focus on concepts such as life skills, emotions, community, family, and kindness. It’s a chance to meet new friends, socialize, and strengthen early literacy skills. Registration is not required.

Baby Storytime

Thursdays at 9:45 a.m.: Join in singing, talking, reading, writing, and playing at this inclusive storytime for families with babies. This is a time for you and your baby to bond with one another through early literacy activities. It's also an opportunity to meet new friends in a welcoming environment. This storytime is recommended for soon-to-be parents, developmental ages 0-2, and their grown-ups (siblings always welcome).

Hybrid: Park Grove Library Book Club

6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26: This book club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month. This month's book is The Sweetness of Water by Nathan Harris. Attend in person or online. Registration is required. Register in person, online, or by calling 651-459-2040.

Drop-In Zine Workshops for Teens

1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30: Stop in to make an awesome zine using drawing, collage, writing, and any other technique that strikes your fancy. Zines are DIY publications that can tell a story, share knowledge, express creativity, and highlight the causes that matter to us. No registration required. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
