Teen Take and Make: Mandala Designs, Monday, June 27: Mandala is a circular design representing the universe, the elements, and human connection. Start with the Mandala design provided in this kit, then add lines, dots, and color to create a design that is uniquely your own. Recommended for ages 12-18. This program is possible thanks to COMPAS and funding from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
Teen Social Activism Series: Reclaiming the LGBTQ+ Media Narrative, 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 28: Join Merit Thursday, an experimental animator, video artist, and textile artist, in a workshop to learn some of the history of Hollywood’s portrayal of LGBTQ+ people. Then collaborate with Merit to create a work that defies the stereotypical narratives. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Papermaking with Paper Plains, 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 29: Learn about papermaking and make your own paper to take home.
