Board meetings are most Tuesdays at 9 a.m. The public is welcome to attend. See county calendar to confirm dates.
Washington County is governed by its Board of Commissioners. Five county commissioners - one from each district - are elected to serve for staggered four-year terms.
County Board meetings cover issues relating to roads, parks, libraries, housing, community services, the environment, corrections and more. Commissioners invite and encourage residents to read about their actions through board meeting summaries, minutes, or view meetings online shortly after they have taken place. Meetings are also live for those viewers who may watch Valley Access cable in the Stillwater area.
