Renew registrations or transfer vehicles in person at one of our license centers.

Game and Fish Licenses
Game and Fish Licenses and State stamps (not federal) are available at our License Centers.
Also available are duplicate licenses, disability licenses and foreign exchange student licenses. Residents: Must show their Minnesota Driver's License, Minnesota Public Safety Identification or Minnesota Department of Natural Resources number from a prior license.
Nonresidents: Must provide their nonresident driver's license number, Social Security number or Minnesota Department of Natural Resources number from a prior license.
To purchase a non-commercial game or fish license, a customer, regardless of age, must either have a Social Security number (SSN) on file with the Department of Natural Resources or must provide it as part of the license application. United States residents who do not have a SSN must complete and sign a form stating that they have not been issued a SSN. These forms are available from ELS Special Agents, or the Department of Natural Resources web site or Information Center.

Customers who refuse to provide their SSN or sign a form will be denied a license.
Snowmobiles
Our license centers can print your renewal stickers. Bring the current renewal card, or the registered owner of the snowmobile can show their ID at our license centers to receive the registration stickers same day.
Dealer purchased snowmobile: Registering your snowmobile requires the make, model, year, serial number, engine size and sales receipt that shows proof of tax paid.
Private party purchase. Sales between private parties do not require payment of sales tax.
Note: You must be at least 18 years old to have a snowmobile registered in your name.
Watercraft
Dealer purchased: Register a watercraft in person with the watercraft's length, manufacturer, type of hull material (wood, metal or plastic), type of propulsion, model, year, serial or hull identification number (HIN) and have a sales receipt that shows you have paid the sales tax.
Private Party purchase: Sales between private parties do not require payment of sales tax.
Registered in Minnesota watercraft can be renewed at our License Centers.
Bring along the current renewal notice / card or the registered owner of the watercraft can show a current ID to renew the registration.
Park Permits
Washington County park permits are available on an annual or daily basis. An annual permit is available per household. To buy a second annual at the discounted price, both vehicles must be registered to the same household. Daily permits can be purchased at any Washington County Park. DNR Ski Pass
DNR Cross-country Ski Passes available at license centers, but are not honored at Washington County parks.
Purchase Washington County Cross-country Ski Passes and other county park passes online, at a pay station, or at a park office.
